lauren is so proud that she chose the song and that she gets to lead it and of the fact that even though she knows she’ll never live up to lana, she still gets the opportunity to try and do the song justice. you can literally feel how focused and determined she is to give this song her absolute best so that she can just maybe be in the same league as her idol. and not even camz dares to fuck around with her bc she and all the other girls know how much this means to lauren and how badly she wants to make her fans happy and how starved of appreciation she really is. i don’t even think they argued with her when it came to this song, because they knew that she needed this. lauren in a way needed to cover lana. lauren needed this. her dreams finally came true. she got everything she ever wanted, and seeing all of the positive feedback she is receiving is only going to lock in reality for her. this is her life now. she is now going to be on the same ipods as demi lovato, and at the same award shows as one direction, and on the same radio stations as lana.
